First and foremost, we are alive. I do not say that flippantly. COVID has proven to be a silent traveler and even those who have taken every precaution have become victims. If someone you know has not been so lucky, keep their memory alive… it’s as close to perpetuity as any of us can hope for.

So we laugh. In the quiet moments when we start trying to figure out tomorrow… that’s when we laugh. It’s been ridiculous, so we laugh. We still have a roof and a bed and groceries so we’re a hell of a lot better off than many. Thank the Universe for that.

There’s a lot we can’t control right now… so let’s control that which we can. We can control our thoughts, our behaviours, our mouths, our fists, our weapons. We can choose what we say, what we do, how we treat our neighbours and what sort of hand we offer the person with absolutely nothing but the clothes on their back.
